Medical Eye Exams

A medical eye exam includes a history of medical and ocular health, a refraction for glasses, a pressure check for glaucoma, an evaluation of the pupils and extraocular muscles, a slit lamp exam of the anterior segment, and an examination of the retinas.  This is usually done at one to two year intervals depending upon the recommendation of your ophthalmologist. The medical eye exam is separate and distinct from a contact lens evaluation or fitting.
