Rhondi S. Meiusi, MD

Dr. Meiusi joined the Edina Eye Clinic in 1992. She received her medical degree from the Mayo Medical School graduating with an award from the Alpha Epsilon Iota Foundation. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota receiving the Harry Plotke award for patient care and compassion. Dr. Meiusi practices comprehensive ophthalmology and provides general ophthalmic care but has a special interest in both cataract and refractive surgery. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. She is also routinely featured as a Top Doc in Mpls/St. Paul Magazine, most recently in January 2008. She is currently Chairman of the Ophthalmology Section at Fairview Southdale Hospital.

Dr. Meiusi and her husband are raising 4 daughters and 1 golden doodle.

Shawn J. Gross, MD

Dr. Gross enjoys providing comprehensive eye care and intraocular eye surgery. He uses the latest techniques in cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Gross did his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and Hennepin Medical Society.

Dr. Gross is married with 3 sons.

Donald A. Ristad, MD

Dr. Ristad has been providing eye care to the Edina community for more than 20 years. He received his medical degree from the Mayo Medical School and also completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. His practice scope includes comprehensive eye care with special interest in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been selected as a Top Doc in Mpls/St. Paul Magazine on multiple occasions.

Dr Ristad feels he is privileged to have developed a wonderful community of patient friends over the years. His hobbies include bicycling, travel, music, gardening, and oil painting.

Wesley D. Sondreal, MD

Dr. Sondreal joined the Edina Eye Clinic in 1988 with a broad background in surgical and medical eye care. He completed his medical school training at the University of Wisconsin, followed by an interlude in the USAF as a Flight Surgeon. He then completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Minnesota. He practiced in Bemidji, MN for several years before returning to Edina. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Intraocular Implant Society, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Society of Research to Prevent Blindness. He has been recognized by the Consumers Research Council as Top Ophthalmologist.

He enjoys the personal relationships developed over the years of medical practice. He and his wife have enjoyed raising three daughters. His other interests include travel, music, photography, and growing roses.
